This paper is focused on analyzing the progression of the Brazilian Superior Electoral Courtin regards to the computerization of the electoral process. The pace and efficiency of voting process and vote count have transformed the national elections into a safe, smooth and transparent process through the insertion of specific computerization techniques. Besides these considerations, the project shows that the entire process of technology insertion in the Brazilian elections seeks not only to assure the authenticity of all citizens voting rights, but to specially preserve the legitimacy of the representative system of government and to enhance the popular belief in Democracy as the sole political regime capable of assuring full exercise and enjoyment of fundamental right.
