Integridad electoral en América Latina

Abstract

Electoral integrity refers to ensuring fair and democratic elections by addressing issues such as electoral fraud and mismanagement. In Latin America, it is important to strengthen electoral integrity amid democratic erosion and the increasing power of authoritarian states. However, the academic literature in Spanish on this topic is limited. This issue of the Journal Elecciones seeks to expand the studies on electoral integrity in the region by presenting research and conceptual and methodological discussions. It also proposes a research agenda specifically designed for Latin America.
