El proceso de amparo en materia electoral: un instrumento para la tutela de los derechos fundamentales

Abstract

Currently, representative democracy, based on the appointment of representatives through free elections and respect for human rights, is the basic principle that identifies a constitutional State of Law. Precisely, it corresponds to Electoral Law, understood as a discipline with its own profiles, to establish the rules that regulate the election of representatives and, in general, of the persons who will hold elected office.
