El voto en urna electrónica: viabilidad social y simplificación de mensajes

Abstract

A review of the feasibility of implementing electronic voting systems is presented, from a critical approach to the relationship between technology and society. The purpose is to simplify the message about the importance of such a change, as to achieve a rapid implantation of these processes in societies like those in Latin America, since electronic voting can be seen as an extension of capacities already deployed and used instead of a large societal transformation. Thus, and avoiding wide ranging concepts like The Information Society, it is proposed to understand the usage of ict for voting as a simple change of processes.
