La prohibición de reelección inmediata como nueva regla en las Elecciones Municipales 2018

Abstract

This article analyzes the prohibition of the immediate reelection of mayors and the way in which it was finally interpreted by the Plenary Meeting of the Jurado Nacional de Elecciones during the 2018 Municipal Elections, despite some previous legal debates on its application to this electoral process. In addition, it presents the debate on the constitutionality of this prohibition according to what the Constitutional Court decided in this respect.
