El financiamiento público directo en el interregno parlamentario

Abstract

Direct public financing is a multi-year subsidy from public funds directed to political organizations with a public purpose: to guarantee the functioning of these institutions as a mechanism for economic equalization between political parties. In this sense, it is regulated in Peruvian legislation, granting the subsidy to those political parties that achieve representatives in Congress; however, this mechanism has faced an unregulated situation: the dissolution of the Congress of the Republic, not having foreseen how to continue with direct public financing during the parliamentary interregnum, if amounts should be assigned to the incoming political parties and if it should continue financing the political parties of the dissolved Congress. Therefore, this article aims to analyze how the dissolution of the Congress of the Republic affects direct public financing.
