    The article analyzes the experience of Latin America with regard to political funding. To this


    end it is emphasized that money can introduce distortions in the democratic process, as one of its major risks, which is why the need for good regulations to eliminate or control such hazards is so important. It also contains recommendations, resulting from practical reflection, on how the regulations on political funding might increase their chances of success. The characteristics of the region - inequality, injustice, corruption, among others - commit society and institutions to effective regulation on political funding.
